After flying high against the Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars last Tuesday, the Jenkintown Drakes came back down to earth. Jenkintown fell 46-36 to Dock Mennonite on Thursday. Jenkintown has not had much luck with Dock Mennonite recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Jenkintown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kareem Jackson, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Tommy Walsh, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists.
Jenkintown has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Dock Mennonite, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4.
Jenkintown and Liguori Academy will face off at 3:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jenkintown is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. Dock Mennonite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
