Tennyson is 0-10 against Encinal since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Tennyson Lancers will look to defend their home court against the Encinal Jets at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Tennyson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Tennyson's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a hard 64-50 fall against Mt. Eden. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tennyson in their matchups with Mt. Eden: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite their loss, Tennyson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Paolo Barroga, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Lorje, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Encinal beat San Lorenzo 59-54 on Friday.
Tennyson's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Encinal, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
