When it comes to explaining why Reed Point/Rapelje lost, one person who can't be blamed is Axel Blodgett. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blodgett has scored all season. Marshall Ulmer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Even though they lost, Reed Point/Rapelje were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Plenty Coups, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed Point/Rapelje will square off against Custer/Hysham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Custer/Hysham is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Plenty Coups' road trip will continue as they head out to face Absarokee at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th.
