Volleyball Recap: Calvary Day School Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Calvary Day School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Forsyth Country Day Furies with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 10th.

Calvary Day School not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Forsyth Country Day between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-16.

Leading Calvary Day School to victory were Katheryn Tate and Reagan Reece. Tate had 11 digs and six aces, while Reece had three digs and three aces. What's more, Reece posted two kills, the most she's had over her last four matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Calvary Day School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 14-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Calvary Day School pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Forsyth Country Day, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Calvary Day School will face off against Greensboro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forsyth Country Day, they will square off against Westchester Country Day at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
