After both having extra time off, the Paulding Panthers and the Liberty-Benton Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty-Benton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paulding, who comes in off a win.
Paulding barely beat Antwerp the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Archers 3-0 on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Archers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Paulding walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-10, 25-17.

Paulding's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Libby Breier, who had five aces and four digs, and Addison Shull, who had five digs. Those five aces gave Breier a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Liberty-Benton came up short against Pandora-Gilboa on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Liberty-Benton was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pandora-Gilboa work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 20-25, 29-27.
Liberty-Benton's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Paulding, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
