The Medina Christian Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 54-43 to Oberlin.
Despite the loss, Medina Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ashley Conwill scored 15 points along with three blocks. That was a full 34.9% of Medina Christian Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ann Sems was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Medina Christian Academy dropped their record down to 7-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Oberlin, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina Christian Academy will take on Jackson-Milton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Jackson-Milton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Thursday. As for Oberlin, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
