Willowbrook had won three straight at home, but on Saturday they bumped their record up to 13-9 to make it four. They had just enough and edged out the Bolingbrook Raiders 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Isabel Bates was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Liz Pettinger and Marli Smrz did most of the damage at the plate: Pettinger went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Smrz went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Pettinger has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sonia Ruchala, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
As for Bolingbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 18 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.
On Bolingbrook's side, Anaiyah Gregory made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Payton Zulfer was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Coming up, Willowbrook will head out to face off against Addison Trail at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Bolingbrook, they will be playing at home against Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Foxes will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
