Sadly, the Notre Dame Jugglers are still looking for their first win of the season after nine games. They were dealt a 71-37 defeat at the hands of Central Valley Academy on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Notre Dame has scored all season.
Deacon Judd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central Valley Academy, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Judd has scored at least a third of Central Valley Academy's points. Tom Jacquays was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Notre Dame dropped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central Valley Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.
Notre Dame won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against New Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. New Hartford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Notre Dame in New York (New Hartford is ranked 303rd, while Notre Dame is ranked 755th). As for Central Valley Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holland Patent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
