The Calvary Day School Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wesleyan Christian Academy. Calvary Day School has not had much luck with Wesleyan Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dane Cassada, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Owen Calvert, who scored 17 points.
Calvary Day School's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Calvary Day School will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Asheville School (Independent) at 2:30 p.m. Asheville School (Independent) is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they will face off against Hickory at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hickory will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
