Basketball Game Preview: Oasis Sharks vs. Community School of Naples Seahawks

Oasis hasn't had much luck against Community School of Naples recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The two teams will face off at 5:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Oasis is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Cape Coral.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Katelynn Jakubowski, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Stambaugh, who scored 11 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Community School of Naples was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 69-18 loss at the hands of Bishop Verot. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while the Vikings are ranked 97th).

Oasis' defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Community School of Naples, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Oasis was able to grind out a solid win over Community School of Naples in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 46-35. Will Oasis repeat their success, or does Community School of Naples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
