After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayne Country Day, the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 45-35 win over North Lenoir.
Despite the loss, North Lenoir still got an impressive performance from Kristina Mewborn, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamaya Lynch, who scored nine points.
The win got Wayne Preparatory Academy back to even at 7-7. As for North Lenoir, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kinston the next time they take the court. North Lenoir will head out to face Kinston at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Wayne Preparatory Academy will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
