After a string of three wins, the Crooms Academy Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Halifax Academy 74-41. Crooms Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-15.
Crooms Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayden Aristile, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxim Micallef, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Crooms Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Halifax Academy, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.
