The Jefferson Panthers suffered their closest  loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of East Helena by a score of  53-51. Jefferson has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second  loss in a row.
 Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Kael Hesford, who  scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Hesford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hunter Stevens, who  scored seven points along with 18  rebounds and five  assists.
 Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for East Helena, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
 Jefferson will be playing at home against Lone Peak at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for East Helena, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Beaverhead County at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Beaverhead County will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
