Burkburnett is a perfect 3-0 against Castleberry since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Burkburnett will be playing at home against Castleberry at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Burkburnett turned things around against Springtown on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Porcupines a 5-0 shutout. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season so far.

The result came thanks to Seth Hoyle's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Adrian Arias was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Burkburnett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Castleberry made easy work of Lake Worth on Wednesday and carried off a 10-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bullfrogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Elijah Garcia made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Garcia was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eric Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Cayden Perez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Burkburnett's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Castleberry, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.
Burkburnett beat Castleberry 8-3 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Burkburnett have another victory up their sleeve, or will Castleberry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
