Iowa was led to victory by Josiah Bushnell and Cole Corbello. Bushnell rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while Corbello gained 138 total yards and three touchdowns. Bushnell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.
Despite the loss, Lake Charles College Prep still got an impressive performance from Elijah Garrick, who picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Iowa's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points per game. As for Lake Charles College Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Iowa will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Louis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. St. Louis Catholic is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Lake Charles College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Jennings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jennings has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 115 points over their last three games.
