The Fillmore Flashes had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Nordhoff by a score of 46-39 on Thursday. The victory was just what Fillmore needed coming off of a 84-51 defeat in their prior matchup.
Fillmore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Weslow out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Ocegueda, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Fillmore's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17. As for Nordhoff, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.
Fillmore will be playing at home against Malibu at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nordhoff won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Beacon Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Beacon Hill is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
