The Bakersfield Lions will be playing at home against the Dora Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bakersfield will be strutting in after a win while Dora will be coming in after a loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, Bakersfield gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to Couch for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-25 victory on the road. Bakersfield pushed the score to 46-18 by the end of the third, a deficit Couch had little chance of recovering from.
Bakersfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Callie Smith, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessie Keith, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, sadly, Dora is still looking for their first win of the season after four matches. The game between them and Norwood wasn't particularly close, with Dora falling 45-26.
The victory made it two in a row for Bakersfield and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for Dora, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.
Everything came up roses for Bakersfield against Dora in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 57-29 victory. Does Bakersfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dora turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
