Chewelah had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They lost to Omak by a decisive 21-36 margin. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Chewelah off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Omak a 1-0 record.
Chewelah will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Liberty at 7:00 PM. Omak are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Lakeside next week at 7:30 PM.
