The Meridian Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against High Plains as Meridian made off with a 64-44 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Meridian.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meridian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ana Dimas, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and four steals. It was the first time this season that Dimas posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylee Sobotka, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meridian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for High Plains, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
Meridian will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bulldogs at 5:55 p.m. Hopefully Osceola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for High Plains, they will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Butler has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
