Leon is on a three-game streak of home losses, Latexo a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Leon Cougars will take on the Latexo Tigers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Leon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Leon lost to Centerville on the road by a decisive 64-48 margin. Leon has not had much luck with Centerville recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Latexo was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 48-42 to Lovelady.
Leon has been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Latexo, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.
Leon came out on top in a nail-biter against Latexo in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 53-50. Does Leon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Latexo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
