The Mt. Carmel Sundevils posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They breezed by San Pasqual on the road to the tune of 77-30. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-16.
Gianni Bernabe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Makai Orje, who scored ten points.
Mt. Carmel's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for San Pasqual, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Mt. Carmel's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westview at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for San Pasqual, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Del Lago Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. Del Lago Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 249 points over their last four contests.
