Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A Region 4 this week, D'Iberville beat Ocean Springs 8-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
D'Iberville and the Greyhounds played the closest game in the league this week, with D'Iberville eventually emerging with a 8-6 victory.
Thad Miller threw for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 20-30 with 3 interceptions.
Aikeem Coleman made the biggest impact on defense this week as Hattiesburg topped Biloxi. He grabbed 2 sacks.
Tyler Polk was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 148 yards as St. Martin bested Harrison Central. Teammate Demontrae Boudreaux added to the ground attack by rushing for 50 yards.
The Admirals' Miller and Richaud Floyd have formed a dream team this season, leading 6A Region 4 in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 1,600 yards this season, while Floyd has 41 catches for 545 yards. The Yellowjackets' Polk leads the league in rushing yards with 954.
St. Martin's Polk needs only 46 yards against the Tigers next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 110 carries Polk has put up 954 yards this year.
As it stands, the Red Rebels are in fifth, while Buddy Singletown's team is in second.
Eddie Whitehead's team took down Hancock 37-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Luke Blair threw for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
