Western Brown extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Warriors, 55-33. The win marks sixth in a row for the Evan Dreyer's team.
The Broncos' dynamic duo of Devin Wood and Christian Dawson proved tough for Goshen to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wood threw for 386 yards and four touchdowns and Dawson had 140 yards receiving. Eean Hornung helped Western Brown's passing attack out by catching five balls for 103 yards.
Marcus Casey was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 222 yards on 28 carries as Mark Slagle's team bested Mark Slagle's team. Teammate Steve Morris added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.
Brandon Steele made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors lost to the Broncos. The 6-foot-2 senior pulled down two interceptions.
Western Brown's Wood and Dawson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Southern Buckeye - American in both passing and receiving yards. Wood has thrown for 1668 yards this season, while Dawson, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 27 catches for 552 yards. Goshen's Casey leads the league in rushing yards with 1054.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Warriors take on Norwood. Goshen is currently in third, while the Indians are in second.
