Softball Recap: Colerain's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Colerain can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Purcell Marian Cavaliers as they made off with a 23-4 win. The Cardinals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Colerain let Olivia Woodson and Natali McGuire run wild. Woodson scored five runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while McGuire went 3-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that McGuire hit this season. Dia Logan was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Colerain's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Purcell Marian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Colerain will challenge Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Purcell Marian, they will face off against Cincinnati Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
