The Rolla Bulldogs waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 65-49 victory over Bolivar. Given Rolla's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Liberators are ranked 122nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rolla to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kori Alcorn, who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Alcorn is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Resa Martin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Rolla pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points per game. As for Bolivar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
Rolla will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Waynesville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 328 points over their last five contests.
