Softball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Seguin's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Seguin barely beat Southwest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Matadors put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 16-6 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Seguin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Southwest, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.

Seguin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
