The Harrisburg Hornets suffered their biggest defeat since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 64-43 defeat at the hands of Osceola. While losing is never fun, Harrisburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Osceola is ranked 103rd).
Eastin Gray and Jayvin Thompson certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Gray scored ten points along with five rebounds, while Thompson scored five points along with three steals.
Harrisburg dropped their record down to 4-18 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.
Harrisburg will head out on the road to take on Piggott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piggott comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Osceola, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
