Barr-Reeve walked away with a 39-26 win over North Daviess on Saturday. For Barr-Reeve, this counts as revenge for the 63-49 defeat North Daviess walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Barr-Reeve got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Wehmeier out in front who scored 11 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Wagler, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Barr-Reeve's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points per game. As for North Daviess, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will take on Shoals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Shoals will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Barr-Reeve is ranked 69th). As for North Daviess, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clay City is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
