The Christian Community Warriors's game on Tuesday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mentor Christian. Christian Community was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mentor Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Christian Community had strong showings from Sarah Solak, who scored 13 points along with seven steals, and Adelynn McKee, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Solak has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.
This is the second loss in a row for Christian Community and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Mentor Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Community will take on HEARTS for Jesus Christ at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. HEARTS for Jesus Christ presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Christian Community in Ohio (HEARTS for Jesus Christ is ranked 321st, while Christian Community is ranked 684th). As for Mentor Christian, they will be playing at home against Lawrence Upper at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lawrence Upper is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
