The Valley Mills Eagles were the 32-20 winner over the Italy Gladiators when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Valley Mills took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Italy on Tuesday. Valley Mills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Italy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landry Janek led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Janek has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Addy Slovak, who scored 19 points.
Valley Mills now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Italy, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.
Valley Mills will take on Itasca at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Italy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
