Deubrook extended the longest winning streak in Dakota Valley (9 Man) this week by beating Ipswich/Edmunds Central, 55-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Elkton/Lake Benton MN was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after falling to Howard. The Elks came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Deubrook's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Taylor Olsen threw for 173 and two touchdowns and Dustin Trooien had 111 yards receiving. On the ground Ryan Knutson chipped in 192 yards. Cory Byers helped Deubrook's passing attack out by catching two balls for 32 yards.
Cole Casper made the biggest impact on defense this week as Lake Preston lost to Castlewood. The 5-foot-11 junior grabbed one interception.
Deubrook's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dolphins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Olsen has thrown for 691 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Trooien has 20 catches for 307 yards. Knutson leads the league in rushing with 1783 yards.
The Warriors were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Castlewood defeated the Divers 40-0 earlier in the week.
