The Illiana Christian Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Highland with a sharp 65-41 victory. With that win, Illiana Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Illiana Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dylan Polak, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Polak scored 15 or more points. Josh Bultema was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Pack, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Caden Quigg, who scored ten points.
Illiana Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Illiana Christian will be home for the holidays to greet River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Forest is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Highland, they will head out on the road to face off against Hammond Morton on Thursday.
