Greenfield is 9-1 against Frontier Regional since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Green Wave will challenge the Red Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Greenfield got the win against Wahconah Regional by a conclusive 8-1. The Green Wave haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

MacKenzie Paulin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Olivia Lemay and Gloria McDonald did most of the damage at the plate: Lemay went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while McDonald went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Those three RBI gave Lemay a new career-high. Grace Laurie also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Frontier Regional waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Rams as they made off with a 16-3 victory.
Ashley Taylor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs.
In other batting news, Skyler Steele was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Liv Machon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Frontier Regional was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .515. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .343 or higher in three consecutive games.
Frontier Regional's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Greenfield, their record now sits at 8-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greenfield has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Frontier Regional struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Greenfield's way against Frontier Regional in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Greenfield made off with a 17-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
