The Pine Ridge Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Seabreeze on the road by a decisive 45-27 margin. Pine Ridge has not had much luck with the Sandcrabs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Pine Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Serenity Cressor almost dropped a double-double on 12 rebounds and nine blocks. Brooke Murray was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
It was another big night for Sarahnoel Randolph, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 26 rebounds for Seabreeze. Randolph is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Terri Williams, who scored two points along with four steals.
Pine Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Seabreeze, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-11.
The pair will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Seabreeze, they will head out on the road to face off against the Vipers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Space Coast is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
