After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arthur-Okaw Christian, Unity Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Blue Ridge Knights as they made off with a 19-5 victory. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 8.6 runs per game.

Unity Christian let Gage Raffety and Everett Roughton run wild. Raffety went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Roughton scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those runs were Raffety's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alex Mize, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Unity Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Unity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Blue Ridge, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
