After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arthur-Okaw Christian, Unity Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Blue Ridge Knights as they made off with a 19-5 victory. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 8.6 runs per game.
Unity Christian let Gage Raffety and Everett Roughton run wild. Raffety went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Roughton scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those runs were Raffety's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alex Mize, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
