The Battle Ground Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 53-39 fall against Mountain View. Battle Ground has not had much luck with Mountain View recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Battle Ground still got an impressive performance from Skylar Fridriksson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Fridriksson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Haily Navarro was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Even though they lost, Battle Ground were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Battle Ground's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
Battle Ground won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kelso at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Kelso presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Battle Ground in Washington (Kelso is ranked 112th, while Battle Ground is ranked 274th). As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
