The Durand Bulldogs entered their tilt with the North Boone Vikings with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Durand walked away with a 55-46 victory over North Boone on Tuesday. For Durand, this counts as revenge for the 61-43 loss North Boone walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Durand's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Folk, who scored 24 points along with four steals. The game was Folk's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Rager, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Durand's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for North Boone, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Durand will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Harvard at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Harvard comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for North Boone, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Sycamore at 6:45 p.m. on December 21st.
