Softball Recap: Alvarado Takes a Loss

Alvarado was the 16-10 winner over Kennedale when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Alvarado came up short against Kennedale on Friday, falling 13-6. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Xitlalic Tapia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanyon Barlow, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Alvarado's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Kennedale, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-7-1 record.

Alvarado has already played their next matchup, a 16-1 loss against Ferris on the 26th. As for Kennedale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-8 victory against Life Waxahachie on the 25th.
