If the Graham Steers were riding high off their 60-39 takedown of the Comanche Indians on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Graham ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-30 walloping at the hands of Holliday on Thursday. Graham lost against Holliday in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 70-39 score last time.
Holliday can attribute much of their success to Jaden Kim, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Cox, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Graham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Holliday, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Graham is on the road again on Thursday and play against Merkel at 10:20 p.m. on November 30th. Merkel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 727th, while Graham is ranked 219th). As for Holliday, they will square off against Eastland at 11:40 a.m. on Friday.
