Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Eagle's View

Eagle's View won against First Coast Christian last Thursday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Eagle's View Warriors blew past the Westside Wolverines 16-1. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Nathan La Rosa and Jake Montgomery did most of the damage at the plate: La Rosa scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Montgomery scored two runs and stole Four bases. The dominant performance gave Montgomery a new career-high in runs. Dayton Hill was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

The win was the third in a row for Eagle's View, bringing their record for this year to 8-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Westside, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Eagle's View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Duval Charter on the 18th. As for Westside, they will venture away from home to take on Riverside at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westside is facing Riverside at the right time seeing as Riverside is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
