The West Lauderdale Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 75-48 loss at the hands of Leake County.
It was another big night for Kaitlyn Chapman, who scored 24 points along with 7 assists and 7 steals for Leake County. Chapman is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daishone Turner, who scored 14 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
West Lauderdale has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Leake County, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lauderdale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Scott Central at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Scott Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Leake County, they will head out on the road to face off against Pelahatchie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
