Middle College had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Animo South Los Angeles Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kosisochukwu Njoku and Diangelo Urtiz scored all four of Middle College's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Middle College's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Animo South Los Angeles, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Middle College take on the Horace Mann UCLA Community at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Middle College is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season. As for Animo South Los Angeles, they are taking a road trip to take on New West Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
