2015 record: 18-2
The Rams won the Class A state championship in 2015 with a 5-4 win over South Portland. The title was the second straight for Bangor. The Rams will miss all-state infielder Andrew Hillier, but they return all-state second team pitcher
Trevor Delaite, who had 81 strikeouts and an 8-0 record last year.

2. South Portland
Head coach: Mike Owens
2015 record: 15-5
The Red Riots finished one run short of their first state title since 1952 after losing to Bangor 5-4 in last year's Class A championship game. South Portland will be without Henry Curran, who earned State Player of the Year honors by the Portland Press Herald.

3. Thornton Academy (Saco)
Head coach: Ray Petit
2015 record: 11-6
The Trojans were the fifth seed in last year's Class A playoffs, but were upset by Gorham in the first round. Three-sport athlete
Benjamin Lambert is the top returning player for Thornton. He earned all-state second team honors last year and was all-state in football in the fall.

4. Falmouth
Head coach: Kevin Winship
2015 record: 11-7
Falmouth was the No. 4 seed in last year's Class A playoffs despite starting four sophomores and a freshman. Falmouth also had an all-state outfielder in
Connor Aube. Falmouth lost to Portland 4-0 in the quarterfinals in last year's playoffs.

5. Brewer
Head coach: Dana Corey
2015 record: 16-5
The Witches reached the semifinals of the 2015 Class A playoffs, losing to eventual champion Bangor 1-0. Brewer returns one of the state's top infielders in
Matthew Pushard, who earned second team all-state honors last year. Pushard is also one of the state's top basketball players.
