Redmond is a perfect 4-0 against Bellevue since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will face off against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. Redmond will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Redmond will bounce into Monday's match after beating Bothell, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 12-7 on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ainsley Barcalow made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Redmond got a big performance out of Aubrey Bauer, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Bauer has posted since April 2nd. Another player making a difference was Kati Cygan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Redmond kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-2 to Mount Si. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.
Leia Morales made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Redmond's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.
Bellevue's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Redmond has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Bellevue, though, as they've been averaging 12 hits. Given Redmond's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolverines will need to find a way to close that gap.
Redmond took their win against Bellevue when the teams last played back in May of 2018 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
