Edgewood is 2-8 against Aberdeen since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Edgewood Rams will head out on the road to take on the Aberdeen Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Aberdeen took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Edgewood, who comes in off a win.
Edgewood came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Harford Tech with a sharp 64-44 victory on Friday.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen pushed their score all the way to 60 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 93-60 loss at the hands of Parkville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Aberdeen in their matchups with Parkville: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Aberdeen got a solid performance out of DARION PARRIS, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JUSTIN FRANKLIN, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Aberdeen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Edgewood ended up a good deal behind Aberdeen when the teams last played back in December of 2023, losing 79-65. Can Edgewood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
