Lake Charles College Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Jennings Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Lake Charles College Prep, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 36-22 loss to Iowa.
Elijah Garrick put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Jennings had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-8 victory over Westlake on the road. The result was nothing new for Jennings, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Lake Charles College Prep's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Jennings, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Lake Charles College Prep came up short against Jennings in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 27-23. Can Lake Charles College Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
