The Ravenna Ravens will take on the Orange Lions at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Ravenna will bounce into Tuesday's   matchup after  beating Cloverleaf, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Ravens were the clear victors by  a  15-4 margin over the Colts on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won six contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Whitney Holmes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted  over her last six  games. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with two  runs.

 In other batting news,  Shyanna Dillbeck was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four  runs and two  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Jocelynn Smallwood was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with four  runs and one  stolen base.
 Ravenna  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in three consecutive  matchups.
Meanwhile, Orange got the win against McKinley  on Saturday by a conclusive  19-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Lions.
Like Ravenna, Orange also got a great game from a two-way player:  Clare Hess. She  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Hess was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. She also  hit a  double, marking her first of the season.
 In other batting news, Orange got a  massive  performance out of  Halle Arnold, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases and four  runs. Another player making a difference was  Kelsey Lewis, who  went 2-for-5 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 Orange pushed their record up to 9-7 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Ravenna, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
