After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Doddridge County, Williamstown was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Valley Lumberjacks with a sharp  14-2 victory. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by eight  runs or more this season.
 Gracie Rush was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Taytum Oates, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Williamstown  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .525. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Williamstown now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Valley,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamstown will square off against St. Marys at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Williamstown's pitchers better be ready for this one: St. Marys has averaged an impressive 8.8  runs per game this season. As for Valley, they will face off against Magnolia at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
