The Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls will head out on the road to take on the Archbishop Carroll Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Archbishop Ryan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Archbishop Ryan was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Joseph's Prep, taking the game 7-2.

Dave Perez
04/02/25 @ St. Joseph's Prep | 12 |
03/20/25 @ Council Rock South | 9 |
04/22/24 @ Archbishop Carroll | 6 |
05/15/24 vs Devon Prep | 5 |
04/15/24 vs Neumann-Goretti | 5 |
Dave Perez was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Sean Cahill looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Archbishop Ryan is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.
Perez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Flash Krzywicki, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Archbishop Carroll, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Lansdale Catholic 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Matt McGaughey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Gilroy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
Archbishop Carroll's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Archbishop Ryan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Archbishop Ryan beat Archbishop Carroll 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Raiders and Ragdolls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
