 Brittan Dawkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Dawkins was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brailee Quinn, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Allie Jackson, who  scored a  run and  stole  Four bases. while going 1-for-1.
 Walnut  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hickory Flat only posted  an  OBP of  .125.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Smithville). Everything went their way against West Lowndes on Thursday as Smithville made off with  a  15-0 win.
 The  victory  got Walnut back to even at 3-3. As for Smithville, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
